Nicola Gill
Journalist, copywriter, editor, content consultant.

A former Fleet Street news reporter I switched to feature writing via a job as senior writer at Cosmopolitan magazine. There I interviewed pop stars, persuaded men to pose nude and (infamously) went undercover on Cilla's Blind Date. Since then I have held various senior editorial positions at magazines including 19, Woman & Home and Bauer's innovative fortnightly launch Real, where I was deputy editor. I currently write for The Sunday Times Magazine and Style, The Times Magazine, Guardian Weekend, Guardian Family and more. I also write for women's glossies including Psychologies, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping and Candis. I cover a wide range of subjects from lifestyle trends, popular science, health, travel and celebrity profiles to investigative reports.
I am also a copywriter, content consultant and editor, working in-house with agencies such as Redwood and Publicis, and also directly with brands as a freelance consultant. I have extensive client-facing experience, have pitched to blue chip and boutique brands, and am as happy creating innovative content solutions as crafting compelling copy.
I have experience in broadcast as a producer (at GMTV) and as a commentator (Woman's Hour and others).
